What Utilities Does a Restroom Trailer Need?

The Two Essential Utilities
Restroom trailers require two utilities to operate: a water source and an electrical connection. The water source is needed for flushing toilets, hand washing, and vanity sinks. The electrical connection powers lighting, climate control, and water pumps.
Water Requirements
A standard garden-variety water spigot is typically sufficient. The connection point should be within approximately 100 feet of where the trailer will be placed. If no water is available on site, we can provide a fresh water tank and pump system for an additional fee.
Electrical Requirements
Restroom trailers require a standard 120V electrical connection on a dedicated or near-dedicated circuit. If your venue does not have power available at the trailer location, we can provide a generator to run the trailer independently.
When Your Venue Has No Hookups
Many of the most beautiful event venues — private estates, rural farms, mountaintop ceremony sites — lack utility hookups. This is common and completely manageable. Our fresh water tank system and generator allow the trailer to operate fully off-grid. These add-ons can be included in your estimate.
