Planning a Private Estate Wedding in Ohio: Restroom Considerations
Everything you need to know about restroom logistics for a private estate or backyard wedding in Ohio.
The Appeal of Estate Weddings
Private estate weddings offer a level of intimacy and personalization that no commercial venue can match. From family properties in Upper Arlington to sprawling estates in Dublin and New Albany, Ohio has no shortage of beautiful private wedding settings. But these properties share a common limitation: residential restroom facilities are rarely adequate for 100+ guests.
Why Residential Restrooms Aren’t Enough
A typical home has 2–3 restrooms. For a 150-guest wedding, that means long lines, stressed hosts, and potential plumbing issues. A restroom trailer adds dedicated event facilities that protect your home’s plumbing and keep guest traffic out of private living spaces.
Placement on the Property
Restroom trailers can be placed on driveways, lawns, or any reasonably level surface. We use leveling jacks for stability. For lawn placements, we may recommend ground protection. The trailer should be positioned for easy delivery access while remaining convenient for guests.
Utility Access at Private Homes
Most residential properties have both a water spigot and electrical connection available. An outdoor spigot is typically sufficient for water, and a standard outdoor outlet or garage circuit can power the trailer. If the ideal placement location is far from utilities, we can use generators and water tanks.
Delivery and Setup
We coordinate delivery timing with your event schedule. For estate weddings, we typically deliver and set up the day before or the morning of the event, and pick up after the event concludes. We’ll discuss access routes, gate widths, and any property-specific logistics in advance.
